The details of putting this track together are a little hazy, but I do remember it was another Reason effort that started off as a whole series of disparate little bits that I struggled to make anything coherent out of. I must've spent a very long time digging around in the preset instrument sounds trying to find anything that sounded interesting (I hadn't figured out how to use the sampler plugins at this point, otherwise it probably would've been very different). My instruction was something along the lines of "take the best part out". I decided to salvage what I considered the best part of the original track, a delayed synth-guitar riff, and made that the basis of an entirely new track. Which is what this one turned out to be. The addition of a hip-hop drum loop seemed to bring the whole thing together, and I'm reasonably happy with the finished result. Although like the last track, I wouldn't do it this way again.
