After being given the Oblique Strategy card "Listen to the quiet voice" the first thing that came into my head was, "I suppose I will have to do something weird like 11/8 time or something." Then I realised the quiet voice had spoken... Doh! Stupid quiet voice. Anyway I don't know any tracks in 11/8; how does that go?
Having pulled a picture of a sheep for my album cover, I thought, "Oh no; Pink Floyd."
Then the idea came about: Well, "Money" is in 7/8 time. If I add another 4 notes to the bar, that might work. So I tried it and it did, unfortunately. It needed more time than I thought we had for this album, so I abandoned it for something a little more simple, which took about 3 days to do. The whole thing was based on a guitar part from a garage tune. I couldn't work it out, so I did my own thing, so it's kind of original, I think?
